A look at the work

Campus portraits, your way

Karl's session moved from quiet cafes to the Quad, with relaxed portraits and candid moments along the way. These are campus portrait examples of my style.

Planning your UIUC graduation photos

Pick the campus spots that matter to you

One favorite backdrop can be plenty. If you want more variety, we'll choose nearby spots that fit your package and leave time for walking and photos.

Alma Mater

The classic cap-and-gown backdrop at Green and Wright. It can be busy during graduation week, so make it a priority if it's your must-have spot and allow for a queue.

The Main Quad

Open green space and familiar campus architecture for relaxed portraits. It's a good place to bring a little of your everyday student life into your photos.

Foellinger Auditorium

The columns and steps at the south end of the Quad give you a recognizable campus backdrop. We'll discuss which views fit your session before adding another location.

Core and Essential include one location; Signature includes 1–2. Queues and walking take time, so we'll agree on priorities before the session rather than promise every campus stop.

Testimonials

Laid-back and easy to talk to, with a professional approach and confident direction throughout the shoot.

Karl Karl

Didn't even feel like a photoshoot, we just walked around downtown and he was shooting the whole time. Kept walking and talking and it felt very friendly

Frequently asked questions

Can I book UIUC graduation photos in my cap and gown?

Yes! Bring your cap, gown, and any stoles or cords you want in your photos. Tell me your preferred campus spot when you get in touch so we can plan a session that fits your package.

Which package fits my campus plans?

Core is a solo session at one location for about 30 minutes, with 6 edited photos. Essential gives you about 45 minutes at one location and 12+ edited photos. Signature gives you about 90 minutes, 1–2 locations, and 25+ edited photos. We'll plan around walking time and any queues.

Can I take photos with friends?

Yes! Essential fits up to 3 people total, and Signature fits up to 5. It’s $10 per extra person. Your group shares the session time and edited photo count. Core is a solo session.

How long until I get my photos?

All three packages include edited, full-resolution photos within 72 hours of your session, including graduation season. Your photos arrive in a shared Google Drive folder with no watermarks.

What if it rains or campus is crowded?

We'll talk before the shoot and decide whether to reschedule or use a suitable covered location if the weather looks bad. Graduation-week crowds can affect timing, especially at Alma Mater, so we'll discuss nearby alternatives and priorities before your session.

How do I reserve my date and pay?

Get in touch to check availability. A 30% non-refundable deposit reserves your agreed date, and the balance is due when your photos are ready. Venmo, Zelle, or cash.
